Hee Hawww!

In keeping with the fall festivities, we ventured out to Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove on Saturday night. We went with Ashlee and Kipp and had a ton of fun riding the big slide (the girls did, the guys not so much) and going through the haunted woods/corn maze. Enjoy the plethora of pictures... we were a little photo happy.

The slide was pretty steep and slick, so before Ashlee and I went on it the first time she asked the guy at the top if there had been any injuries. That should have been my cue to cover my ears and hum, but I didn't and he told us that a lady had broken her ankle just last week. "Just make sure to keep your feet up!" were his words of comfort. How do you do that on a slide anyway?!

I think leaning back was an attempt at keeping my feet up.

At the bottom, smiling for different cameras.

After the slide, we went and lined up for our ride to Night Terrors. Ride, you ask? Yes, we had to take a slightly uncomfortable 7 minute hayride... in the dark... through bumpy fields...pulled by, according to Kipp "I grew up on a farm so I know all there is to know" Chambers, a 1960s tractor. Here we are in line for the hayride, prepping ourselves for the scares ahead.

We were first off the hayride, so we were the very first group to go through the haunted woods. You wouldn't believe how much scarier it makes things when there is no noise or screaming ahead of you to help hint at where to brace yourself. I've never screamed like that before, though, so it was fun. They threatened to take our (any person with a camera) memory cards if we took any pictures inside, so we didn't want to risk it. The entrance will have to do.

The ancient tractor had a problem on the ride back, so our driver unhitched it and left us sitting in the dark to get a different one. I thought maybe it was a part of the haunted experience, but no. A "few" minutes turned into about twenty, but we were eventually rescued.

On the hayride back.

Troy may or may not have mentioned that he didn't want this picture posted, but I just couldn't resist. I'm a good wife.

In case you're wondering, I'm moo-ing.

And as we were leaving, this guy wanted his picture taken with us so we reluctantly consented. Okay fine, it was the other way around.

Afterwards, we grabbed $2 pumpkins and went to our house for some carving action. We all decided to use patterns for the first time and they turned out really cute!

She did this all night. So gross.

The finished products...

...and their respective artists.

Thanks for doing this with us Chambers and Happy Halloween, everyone!

I'm glad you got your Fall Fix. Have you watched Double, Double, Toil and Trouble yet? Because I'm pretty sure we could get into that.

P.S. I did NOT eat those pumpkin guts all night. It was like maybe 5 minutes.
