Troy and I wanted to do something really fun to celebrate our five year anniversary, so we booked a two-night stay at a cabin in the mountains near Bear River. We invited our friends, Kipp and Ashlee, to come along and we went this past weekend. We relaxed, ate, and played games, but the highlight of the trip was definitely snowmobiling all day Saturday.
We originally rented two two-seater snowmobiles, but on our ride out in the morning, mine and Troy's died. There were no two person sleds left, so they gave us two singles instead. Single snowmobiles have a lot more power and can handle a lot more excitement than doubles, so the boys were in heaven. I'm actually glad it worked out the way it did because Troy had such a blast! We all got ourselves stuck at some point and I even knocked Ashlee off the back when I tipped us sideways trying to get back on a groomed trail. Luckily we were only going approximately three miles per hour. Needless to say, I was pretty content just being a passenger on the double.
Here are some pictures from our trip. It was gorgeous weather and a beautiful place!

Bear River
Tiny figures = Kipp and Ashlee trekking back to their sleds after getting unstuck
Troy having fun on the fastest snowmobile of them all
Ash got out of Troy's path just in time
Kipp taxiing everyone back up the hill. You can see it's about to roll... not made for 3 people.
My man!
Quite possibly the best picture of the entire trip
We had such a good time! Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for taking such good care of the Jovie bug. We sure love her, but every parent needs a little break once in a while, right?! Right. Besides, being away made it even more exciting to come home to this little face! :)
