Winter ONEderland!

Today was Jovie's 1st birthday bash!  I promised myself I wouldn't go overboard after this year, but I just couldn't help myself for her very first party!  I had so much fun picking a theme, colors, decorations, and treats.  I do realize she won't remember a thing, but at least she'll have pictures to look back on!

I had Jovie's invitations made by a woman on etsy who designs adorable and inexpensive birthday invitations, holiday cards, party packages, birth announcements, etc.  I was really happy with the way they turned out.

(Looks weird because I erased my address and rsvp info for this post)

I also had a onesie custom-made for her party.  Some might call it a little splurge, but it was worth it.  I love it!

The birthday girl and her daddy.  They love each other.
Our little family.

The party colors were (obviously, you have eyes) bright blue, purple, silver, and white and since it was a winter ONEderland celebration, we had plenty of snowflake and wintery decor.  Jovie especially enjoyed touching the ceiling decorations.

We had a hot cocoa bar with lots of goodies, sugar cookie decorating for the kids (and adults!), and cupcakes.

We had a lot of fun with the family and friends that could come, but missed the ones who couldn't.  We are grateful that nearly my whole family could be there!

 Jovie with Aunt Rachelle
Jan and Judson came with their girls, Addie and Lyla.
Kent and Kate came with their Afton girl and baby Stone.
Jovie loves socializing with the big girls.  They make her laugh so hard!
Lyla was a happy girl.
And Stone didn't seem to mind the extra accessory!

We opened presents and Jovie hit the jackpot.  She got great gifts from everyone!  Addie and Afton were more than willing to help her with her presents. :)

After presents, we stripped Jovie down to her diaper for cake time.  I've got to say, it was pretty uneventful.  She barely touched her smash cake before she was ready to be done.  She dipped into the frosting, but that was about it.  A little disappointing, but I expected it!

It was getting close to naptime, so we let Jovie roam free to explore her new toys before the party ended.

Jovie is one spoiled little girl!  We are excited to celebrate again next week when our little buggy really turns ONE!
